I coveted these bags on the runway and now that fall retail is creeping in on us, I'm sad my wallet is so empty. I absolutely LOVE the bird hardware on the new Marc by Marc bags.
It's way too hot for sleeves. But luckily most of these lovely tanks are on sale here and will so cute with our denim cut-offs. For all my little new yorkers out there, feel lucky its been cool, cause it hasn't been under 100 degrees in Austin for the past few weeks.....I know, I know....thats what I get for moving to texas. xoxo
Terrariums...how I love you. This has been on my to do list for months and after looking at these gorgeous Roost vessels via Velocity, I am determined to finally make one.
I am pleased to announce a new project that I will be involved with. It's called Maybird Kids, and will be a collaboration with my lovely sister, Carrie. We are currently developing a line of organic baby clothing, which we are hoping to debut in early 2010. In the meantime you can follow our blog, where I will be posting inspirational and hip designs for kids and Carrie will share parenting tid-bits. Here is a little preview of what you can look forward to:
Feeling tans and taupes today. As if we could be in the middle of a dry summer wheat field, on the deck of a wooden sailboat, and on safari all at the same time.....
{Fiona Paxton necklace, Comme des Garcon croc wallet, Stella McCartney top available here, Marc by Marc suede bag, J.Crew suede ballet flats, and Whereabouts raincoat. Image via flickr.}
I'm not sure what I love more, the car full of pillows or that stylin man! Who do I call to get him to drive by my house?
{This image was on the John Robshaw website, of which I will be posting about their amazing pillows, but I had to share this picture. It was too good to pass up}
The first few of the Seaside Tote Collection are now available at the love & folly shop. The quilt I used was made out of old men's shirts and they are super sun faded and soft. They are lined with vintage mattress ticking and are fully reversible. Happy shopping! xoxo emma
fine, I'll admit it. I'm completely obsessed with miniature donkeys......That floral head piece is gorgeous and of course I love the bejeweled sandals (what else would I wear?). I think the sandals were from Vera Wang.
Coming soon to my little shop...Vintage Quilt Beach Totes! I am in the process of making them (see my first sample above) so please stay tuned. These are going to be so cute, perfect for the beach or the farmers market.
I spent some time wondering the antique mall yesterday - my new favorite place. Its quiet, peaceful, and full of treasures. Along with the tattered quilts I bought for baby booties, I found this vintage postcard and fell in love.
I love these printed high waisted skirts. So cute and flirty! And the perfect update to the solid skirts already in my closet. I managed to score the last Tracy Feith for target skirt (above) yesterday which totally made my day.
I always feel like summer is getting cheated when fall fashion starts creeping in before I even get to the beach. But here are some beautiful looks from Phillip Lim, I love the heather grey tights, the pops of gold sequins and the use of yellow ochre, eggplant, and lilac.
I've been attracted to mixing leather and metals for my summer accessories. Love these bangles for that reason. Happy Friday - hope everyone has a glorious weekend!
Current Elliot has been getting a lot of press for some time now for their hot boyfriend jeans. I wish they looked good on me but I regret to say they make me look like a fat blob. Anyways, their website always has the best lookbook, I love the vintage looking photography and the retro styling. rock on current elliot.
More rugs I love. My couch is a pattern right now which I would like to switch out to solid or a smaller scale pattern so I can have one of these graphic rugs.
